Chandler Inn
26 Chandler St., Boston, Massachusetts, 02116, USA, Boston, MA 02116, USAWhy We Like It
There aren't tons of options for hotels in the South End, despite it being one of the best neighborhoods for foodies in Boston. If you're dead-set on staying in the neighborhood, the Chandler is a good choice.
Fodor's Expert Review
Entirely revamped in 2012, the Chandler Inn is a gay-friendly, welcoming spot with chic design and friendly staff. Sitting on one of the South End's prettiest streets, it's easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, and the T.

Restaurants
Perhaps the most acclaimed restaurant neighborhood in Boston, there are endless options in the South End. The critically-adored Toro (20 minute walk, 7 minute drive) is always busy and doesn't take reservations, so be ready to wait. Joanne Chang's beloved Flour Bakery & Cafe (7 minute walk, 3 minute drive) is great for coffee and sandwiches, or the famous sticky buns.
