Since opening in July of 2017, YOTEL Boston has shown itself to be a unique addition to Boston's Seaport neighborhood. Inspired by luxury air travel, guests stay in "cabins" instead of rooms, and are serviced by "crew" instead of staff. Extremely tech-forward, YOTEL bypasses the traditional front desk for self-service check-in at "Mission Control," or through their app. For conventioneers and businesspeople who are in town to hit the Seaport World Trade Center, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, and various Seaport area pharmaceutical companies, YOTEL is a sound option.

You Should Know Hotel traditionalists who like lots of human interaction may not click with YOTEL's tech-forward attitude.

Room

Designed to emphasize multifunctional spaces and technological integration, the tiny rooms (or "cabins," as they're referred to) have YOTEL's signature adjustable SmartBeds, which transition into sofas with the push of a button. They feature Serta gel mattresses covered in luxury bedding, a Technowall with a smart TV that can connect to your devices, and mood lighting.

Bathroom

Tech-forward bathrooms come equipped with monsoon showers, heated towel racks, and bath products from Urban Skincare Company.

Lobby

Mission Control is buzzing at YOTEL, with an emphasis on co-working spaces. The Club Lounge is a vibrant daytime area filled with guests, locals, and businesspeople. At night, it becomes more of a hangout, with cocktails and live entertainment. There are PC's and printers available in Mission Control as well.

Tip Head to Mission Control to catch a glimpse of ATOM, an 84-inch digital display screen that connections YOTEL's guests via social networks.

Gym

A 24-hour fitness center is filled with cardio equipment and free weights. They also offer "Meditation Mondays," a 30-minute guided meditation session in the Sky Lounge every monday.

Tip YOTEL also produces Mindfresh, a series of 5-minute meditation and relaxation videos available on their app.

Dining

The ground floor Club Lounge offers a spot for all-day dining, quick snacks, and live entertainment. Complimentary hot tea and coffee is available in the lobby for guests.

You Should Know While there is no room service, YOTEL does offer food-to-go options.

Drinking

In addition to the full bar in the Club Lounge, the Sky Lounge is YOTEL's 12th floor indoor/outdoor rooftop bar and terrace, boasting stunning 360-degree views of the Seaport neighborhood. Guests can order quick bites from a snacking menu. There are also four Sky Cabins for private entertaining.

Getting Around

YOTEL Boston has direct access to the Courthouse station on the MBTA's Silver Line in its basement. Guests looking to connect to the subway simply take the Silver Line one stop to South Station. For air travelers, YOTEL is only 3 stops from Logan International Airport on the Silver Line. Many guests find it easy to travel the area on foot.

Restaurants

The Seaport neighborhood is absolutely booming with restaurants. For delicious sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, head to Flour Bakery & Cafe (4-minute walk). For traditional New England seafood in a casual, waterfront atmosphere, try The Barking Crab (3-minute walk), which you'll notice from its bright red and yellow tent. For delicious Italian, head to Babbo Pizzeria (7-minute walk) right off the Harborwalk.

Bars

Just a short walk into the Fort Point neighborhood is Drink (4-minute walk), Barbara Lynch's acclaimed craft cocktail bar. For a fun bar with a retro vibe, head to Lucky's Lounge (4-minute walk) also in Fort Point.
