One of the most idiosyncratic and charming hotels in the city delivers a bit of attitude along with its eclectic selection of rooms of all shapes and sizes, from postage-stamp to spacious. Accommodations are all comfortable, done up in a mix of modern furniture and antiques. You won't find a traditional check-in desk here. Instead, you're greeted by Scarlet the parrot as you're welcomed into an art-filled, salonlike space. Sadly, a recent change in ownership closed both the bar and restaurant here. The hotel still offers a light Continental breakfast, and more good changes are on the way.
