3 Best Shopping in Joshua Tree National Park, California

The Station

Fodor's choice

Find pop-star paraphernalia, graphic T-shirts, magazines, trinkets, snacks, and Mexican blankets in this wild shop set up in a converted 1949 Richfield gas station. Between the giant man statue, retro cars, and back patio, there's enough eye candy to warrant a stop even if you're not in the market for souvenirs.

Joshua Tree Bottle Shop

After a long day of hiking or rock climbing, you deserve a reward, and this well-curated bottle shop, which focuses mainly on small-batch wines for under $25, is a great place to do it. To make your selection you can read the well-researched tasting notes or ask for recommendations (staffers love diving deep!). There's also a range of craft spirits like amaro, mezcal, and sake, as well as beer, mead, canned cocktails, and nonalcoholic alternatives.

White Label Vinyl

With black cement-block walls and a white drop ceiling, this no-frills record store isn’t going to win any awards for interior design, but what it lacks in the looks department it makes up for in inventory. Well-organized bins of new and used vinyl teem with rock, punk, rap, and jazz classics and recent hits. There are also small sections of preowned CDs and DVDs as well as a rack of T-shirts.
