2 Best Sights in Summerland, Okanagan Wine Country

Kettle Valley Steam Railway

One way to tour the area is aboard the historic Kettle Valley Steam Railway, pulled by a restored 1912 steam locomotive. The 90-minute trip takes you along 16 km (10 miles) of a century-old rail line. Several times a year there's a "Great Train Robbery" reenactment with a barbecue dinner and musical entertainment. Check website for pricing and closures, as it varies.

Sumac Ridge Estate Winery

The area's first estate winery, Sumac Ridge showcases three unique Okanagan brands that call the winery home—Sumac Ridge, Black Sage Vineyards, and Steller’s Jay. Tastings range from C$5 to C$35. This a great midmorning or midafternoon stop and the shop is open year-round.
