These three sections of town are often referred to independently, but they also overlap in large parts; Washington Avenue runs through both areas, and Munjoy Hill is part of the East End. The latter includes the Eastern Promenade, East End Beach, and the Portland Observatory. Meanwhile, Washington Avenue has become one of the most concentrated areas of fantastic food in all Maine.
