Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center. Stop at the federal inter-agency center just north of downtown Jackson for information about area attractions and to see wildlife displays that explain the establishment of the National Elk Refuge, as well as the creatures' migration routes and seasonal range. From mid-December to early April, buses depart every 20–30 minutes to take visitors 2½ miles north for sleigh rides ($27) that glide close to grazing elk on the refuge. 532 N.
