Fodor's Expert Review Devils Tower KOA

Less than a mile from Devils Tower, this campground literally lies in the shadow of the famous stone monolith. The view of the sheer granite walls above red river bluffs is one of the property's greatest assets. Another is the bordering Belle Fourche River, which nurtures several stalwart cottonwood and ash trees that provide at least some areas with shade. Weather permitting, the campground stages a nightly outdoor showing of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
