Why We Like It

B&B lovers will swoon over the Gaslight Inn, from the attractive architecture and decor to the prime Capitol Hill location. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, most with private baths, while the handsome common areas invite lounging. The backyard also beckons with a pond, a pool, and two patios with views.

Fodor's Expert Review

Framed by elegant landscaping, this stunner of a B&B has landmark status in Seattle. Built in 1907, the three-story, 7,700-square-foot home is located in a residential part of Capitol Hill that's close to the thoroughfare. All but two of the rooms have private baths and common areas include a classic Arts & Crafts living room and a backyard replete with a koi pond and swimming pool. Breakfast, naturally, is included.

You Should Know If being close to the tourist core matters, note that Gaslight Inn is a 15-minute drive from Downtown. If you're traveling sans car, there's a light rail stop just blocks from the B&B.
