A classy if unpretentious bistro and espresso bar, La Trattoria opens at 11 for lunch specials ranging from panini sandwiches to freshly made soups and salads. Candlelight dinners offer antipasti and pasta dishes with an authentic tomato-basil sauce that lend a taste of Italy to the Chihuahuan Desert. If you prefer more traditional West Texas fare, there's Black Angus rib eye. There's a full wine and beer selection, and the restaurant is also vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.
It's a good idea to reserve a table on Friday and Saturday and during special events.
