Hilton Austin

500 E. 4th St., Austin, Texas, 78701, United States, Austin, Texas, USA

Why We Like It

This hotel has it all—great downtown location, comfortable digs, spa, and gym—without the hefty price tags as its nearby peers. We also like that this is a functional spot for business travelers without compromising the luxurious amenities. Not your standard hotel dining options, and the pool is just wow.

Fodor's Expert Review

Austin's tallest hotel rises 31 stories over one of downtown's quieter blocks, next to small Brush Park (home to the O. Henry House), but the Hilton is defined by its proximity to the Austin Convention Center. Only two blocks away, fully equipped with meeting rooms, two restaurants, coffee shop and business center, this is the conventioneers' hostelry. Standard rooms have two full beds or one king and a leather loveseat. The entire eighth floor is a 16,000-square-foot health club with an outdoor saltwater pool, steam room and sauna, and state of the art gym with views of UT's stadium. The onsite Finn and Porter restaurant is an excellent option for steak or sushi.
