Accessibility

All the overlooks along Rim Drive are accessible to those with impaired mobility, as are Crater Lake Lodge, the facilities at Rim Village, and Steel Visitor Center. A half dozen accessible campsites are available at Mazama Campground.

Park Fees and Permits

Admission to the park is $15 per vehicle, good for seven days. For all overnight trips, backcountry campers and hikers must obtain a free wilderness permit at Canfield Ranger Station, which is at the park headquarters adjacent to Steel Visitor Center and open daily 9–5 from mid-April through early November, and 10–4 the rest of the year.

Park Hours

Crater Lake National Park is open 24 hours a day year-round; however, snow closes most park roadways from October to June. Lodging and dining facilities usually are open from late May to mid-October. The park is in the Pacific time zone.

Cell-Phone Reception

Cell-phone reception in the park is unreliable, although generally it works around Crater Lake Lodge and Mazama Village, which also have public phones.
