Why We Like It

This simple property piles on the extras: free weekday wine hour, the convenience of a kitchenette, and self-service laundry facilities. We love the 24-hour fitness center and the helpful staff.

Fodor's Expert Review

Built during the 1920s, the Belvedere’s main draw is its Times Square/Theater District location. While design is simple, this property offers rare conveniences including kitchenettes in the rooms and self-service laundry. The helpful staff, location near Broadway theater, and 24-hour fitness center make this affordable hotel a solid pick.

Tip This hotel offers extra value with a free weekday wine happy hour.

Room

While design can be a tad dull, rooms are spacious and have the convenience of kitchenettes with a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker. Executive rooms are brighter and more modern.

You Should Know Some rooms experience significant street noise. There’s also a pesky fee for Wi-Fi in some room categories.

Bathroom

Deluxe rooms have basic, dated, though clean bathrooms while Executive rooms offer contemporary bathrooms with lovely gray tile and granite accents.

Lobby

The simple lobby has Art Deco accents, clusters of functional seating, and colorful art. On weekdays, a wine hour with complimentary glasses of wine is held in the lobby.

Dining

Churrascuria Plataforma is a Brazilian steakhouse serving grilled meats for lunch and dinner in a spacious dining room with white tablecloths. The restaurant also has a bar with a more informal menu including sandwiches and savory Brazilian pastries. A breakfast buffet is served daily at the Belvedere Café.
