The 12 Best Hotel Restaurants in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is underrated for its dining. Sure, people know that this town offers great meals. It’s famous for its hospitality, after all. But even without all the glitz and glamour, Las Vegas is one of the best culinary destinations in the world. Celebrity chefs vie for the bragging rights of a signature restaurant on the Strip. Meanwhile, the most talented young chefs come from around the world to work with the greats. The result is that most hotels have world-class dining that you won’t want to miss. Here are some hotels with the best restaurants.
Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower
Why it made the list
A budget hotel option at the North end of the Strip, this hotel only has one truly notable restaurant, but boy is it worth noting. Located on the Stratosphere’s 106th floor, Top of the World restaurant provides diners with rotating views of the entire Las Vegas valley and a New-American menu. Go at dusk to watch the sun set and the lights of city twinkle on.
Aria
Why it made the list
An enduring and upscale culinary favorite, Aria offers a range of fine dining options. There’s Carbone for Italian-American cuisine, Jean Georges Steakhouse for hearty fare. Michael Mina serves up French classics at Bardot Brasserie. Chef Shawn McClain continues the evolution of contemporary American cuisine, while Herringbone offers a California twist to surf and turf. And everybody’s looking forward to bi-coastal hotspot Catch, which will open this fall.
SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
Why it made the list
As a hotel resort, the Los Angeles-flavored SLS (the Sahara in a past life) hasn’t quite found its footing. But as a collection of outstanding restaurants, it’s worth the trip to the North end of the Strip. Bazaar Meat By José Andrés is a standout. Cleo has great Mediterranean (a cuisine somewhat rare on the Strip), while Katsuy offers American-friendly Japanese. If you’re looking for elevated comfort food, try Umami Burger, Beer Garden & Sports Book Or 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria.
The Cromwell
Why it made the list
This tiny hotel-casino has earned a big name for itself with Giada, the namesake restaurant of Italian chef and TV star Giada Pamela De Laurentiis. There’s also a 24-hour diner called Eatwell that serves chili cheese dogs that will sop up all that alcohol from partying on the Strip.
Mandalay Bay
Why it made the list
Dock at Mandalay Bay for endless dining delights. Wolfgang Puck goes Italian with Lupo. Charlie Palmer offers contemporary American cuisine at Aureole and his namesake steak next door at the Four Seasons. Chef Michael Mina gives his take on a steakhouse with Stripsteak. Food Network stars Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger run the “urban cantina” Border Grill. French chef Hubert Keller has two restaurants (Fleur for small plates and Burger Bar for, you guessed it, gourmet hamburgers), as does Master Chef Rick Moonen (RM Seafood and RX Boiler Room). For a musical meal, don’t miss House of Blues’ famous Gospel Brunch on Sundays!
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
Why it made the list
Backed by the deep pockets of MGM Resorts International, MGM Grand is an all-star choice for fine dining. Save up to eat at these unforgettable restaurants: L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Joël Robuchon, Bardot Brasserie and Morimoto Las Vegas.
