Why We Like It

You can’t beat the gorgeous setting and the large number of amenities and activities is excellent. Rooms are luxurious and quite large. If you want to join in with fellow travelers at one of the many pool or beachside areas, you can, but if you want some downtime, there’s private outdoors space right outside your door.

Fodor's Expert Review

Nestled on the elbow of Cape Cod, this meticulously landscaped 27-acre hideaway features 120 lavish guest rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, two magnificent pools, two beaches, boating and water sports, four Har Tru tennis courts and access to the eighteen holes at the exclusive Cape Cod National Golf Club.

You Should Know The resort's beach isn't large, but a free boat shuttle transports guests to the ocean-side of Pleasant Bay (Outer Beach) for a gorgeous beach experience.

Room

A chic coastal décor pays homage to the resort’s setting, with lots of soothing blues, whites and taupes. All accommodations, from signature rooms to cottages, offer a private deck or patio and a large majority have a water view, either of Round Cove or Pleasant Bay. Others have garden views. Some have outdoor fit pits or hot tubs and many have indoor gas fireplaces.

You Should Know There is a daily $28 resort fee that covers use of the fitness center, in-town transportation, boat shuttle to the Outer Beach and Wi-Fi.

Bathroom

Molton Brown amenities are stocked in the large marble bathrooms, many of which have luxurious soaking tubs.

Lobby

More of a pleasant place to check in, rather than a hang out. Most people are eager to enjoy the outdoor amenities.

Pool

There are two pools, a large round one with waterfront views, and a lap pool just for adults. Both have adjacent Jacuzzis.

Spa

The resort doesn't not have a spa, but treatments can be arranged in your room.

Gym

There is a well-equipped gym with all the latest equipment you could want for working out.

Tip In July and August, guided activities like morning walks, dance classes, swimming lessons and a variety of other options are offered.

Dining

Twenty-eight Atlantic is the resort’s signature restaurant and like every venue, makes the most of the views. Dine on local seafood while gazing through the enormous windows overlooking Pleasant Bay. For a more casual clubby atmosphere, Thoreau’s offers great drinks and upscale pub fare, which can be enjoyed at the bar or in front of a roaring fire. Outdoor dining options, in season, include the Outer Bar & Grille and the Pleasant Bay Terrace.

Tip In the summer, there is nightly live entertainment and themed family dinners at the Pleasant Bay Terrace.

Drinking

Both Thoreau’s and the Outer Bar are great places for a drink, but LiBAYtion, located beachfront, has the best views.
