Why We Like It

Beautifully maintained, romantic and luxurious, this historic inn is an ideal couples’ getaway, with a great location, thoughtful amenities and excellent service. Every room and common space is picture perfect and tastefully decorated. This is not the typical B&B, so anyone wary of doilies and knickknacks need not worry.

Fodor's Expert Review

Elegant and romantic, this 1839 former sea captain's home shines with the simple beauty of 19th-century craftsmanship, with gleaming wide-plank floors and graceful molding and wainscoting. Original maps dating from the home's original era are framed in the dining room, and aside from the addition of carefully chosen antiques and artwork, the inn is refreshingly uncluttered. Thoughtful touches, excellent service and high-end amenities make sure every guest feels pampered.

You Should Know There are minimum-stay requirements throughout the year. In summer and on holidays, there is a 3-night minimum, while during the rest of the year, there is a 2-night minimum.
