Fodor's Expert Review Ames Boston Hotel

1 Court St., Boston, Massachusetts, 02108, USA

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

Located in the iconic Ames Building, this 15-story hotel is now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. A blend of modern style and old-world sophistication, the recent renovations embraced some of the building's original features, like the lobby’s tiled mosaic arched ceiling and a marble staircase. Suites are accented by decorative fireplaces and dramatic, Romanesque arched windows that provide soaring views of downtown Boston. Located off the lobby, the library has shelves lined with old books to give it an authentic library feel; it's the perfect place for breakfast or getting some work done. Chef Mary Dumont’s Cultivar, the on-site restaurant with an emphasis on local, seasonal foods, opened in June of 2017.
