Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

This museum of African American heritage is named in honor of abolitionist Frederick Douglass and scientist Benjamin Banneker. This former church and its next-door neighbor make up a museum that tells the stories of African Americans in Maryland through performances, lectures, educational programs, and both permanent and changing exhibits.
