Fodor's Expert Review Three Aces

The rustic menu here, heavy on pasta and pizza, fits nicely among the Little Italy neighbors, but the grittier rock and roll vibe and free-flowing craft beer makes Three Aces stand out among the other classic mom-and-pop restaurants. Expect less eggplant Parm and more farmhouse Italian: there's short-rib pizza with garlic cream and confit mushrooms, and pappardelle with seasoned mascarpone, mint, and Parmesan. Don't pass up the spicy Bolognese fries, an Italian take on Canadian poutine featuring sauced-slathered fries with Parmesan.
