Fodor's Expert Review Big Island Pizza

Gourmet pizza is the star at this small take-out café (you order at the counter) where handmade dough and sauces are made fresh daily. Pizzas are topped with things like shrimp and smoked salmon, but hot sandwiches, wraps, pastas, and salads are also served. There are only a handful of tables on the patio for sit-down dining, but there's a brisk take-out business as well as delivery to the eastern side of the island. At another location above Costco in Kailua-Kona, the specialty is European-style pizzas with artisan crusts.
