The name is a mouthful, and that's appropriate for this massive, entertainment-packed property with an enviable location on the Savannah riverfront. Rooms are in three distinct sections: the Power Plant is a "restored" power plant left abandoned for decades before its transformation into the centerpiece of the property; the Three Muses features soft and romantic styling; and the forthcoming Atlantic, which will have a contemporary and nautical theme. Electric Moon, the hotel's rooftop bar, is one of the city's best. The Power Plant building features a chrome-dipped replica dinosaur skeleton soaring from the ceiling, and at any given time you might run into cirque performers or fire-jugglers. Some might call the decor gaudy, while others would consider it funky. Either way, Plant Riverside District, which anchors the west end of River Street, is an experience you won't have anywhere else.
