Fodor's Expert Review

Just blocks from the shopping meccas of Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza you'll find this modern suites-only high-rise. There are several different kinds of suites—from fairly basic sleeping-and-sitting-room combinations to more deluxe units with amenities like wet bars. All of the rooms open onto a sunny atrium that towers 16 stories above the lobby. Rates include afternoon cocktails.

Room

Each of the 316 accommodations are a two-room suites with a bedroom and living room area equipped with coffee makers, video game consoles, microwaves and mini-refrigerators. Upgrading to a Premium Suite includes complimentary Wi-Fi, iHome docking station and a variety of in-suite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Overall, the decor is a bit dated and could use refurbishment.

You Should Know Book a room on the higher floors to escape the sounds of busy Peachtree street traffic. Again, rooms are pretty dated and could use significant upgrades to remain on par with other Buckhead area hotels. Also, wifi costs $6.95 unless you're part of Hilton Honors.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are appointed with faux-granite countertops and tight shower/tub combos. The hotel offers Neutrogena bath products.

Lobby

The lobby area is airy and bright thanks to multiple skylights, and has a somewhat oddly placed tropical feel due to lush green potted plants and palm trees that stretch toward the tiered ceiling. There are even quaint planters with leafy overhangs that line the balconies of each floor, overlooking the lobby seating area.

Tip Don't miss the nightly evening reception with complimentary snacks and alcoholic beverages.

Pool

There's a small indoor pool and whirlpool, and a larger outdoor pool with pool chairs and tables. Both pools are heated.

Gym

Small fitness center with all the basic equipment: ellipticals, treadmills and free weights.

Dining

Taking advantage of the free breakfast is a must, where you'll find a full continental spread of fruit, oatmeal, pastries and yogurt, along with a hot bar of breakfast potatoes, eggs, bacon and made-to-order omelets. There's also coffee, milk and a variety of juices. For dinner, try the on-site Ruth's Chris Steak House for the classic American steakhouse experience.

Drinking

Ruth's Chris serves a "Sizzle, Swizzle and Swirl" happy hour menu of original an classic cocktails, beer and wine, alongside bar bites from 4-6:30 pm.
