Fodor's Expert Review
This boutique hotel, one of several in Miami under the Kimpton brand, has an air of serenity and privacy that pervades this discreet little oasis of personality-driven villas (built in 1930 by architect Henry Maloney) and modern tower units, together capturing the feel of a sophisticated private Mediterranean villa community. The private, landscaped setting makes it easy to forget that the hotel is on busy Washington Avenue, two blocks from the beach. The wonderfully contemporary tower units have private sunning gardens or rooftop terraces with hot tubs, and single-floor kings are set around a lovely pool. A new wing with 85 additional rooms is set to open June 2018.
