Even though San Francisco is right on the Bay, it can be surprisingly hard to find great menus that focus on fish, but this white-linen restaurant delivers with platters of fruits de mer shucked right at the raw bar and sustainably caught pan-roasted fish. The main dining room is a 1920s original with Spanish Gothic influences and a domed hand-painted ceiling, while the bar—a busy happy hour spot—is more modern, with jelly-fish chandeliers and kelp-covered columns.
