Located on the edge of Balboa Park between the Hillcrest and North Park neighborhoods, this budget guesthouse occupies four Spanish colonial–style 1915 residences connected by courtyards. Prices are reasonable for romantic one- and two-bedroom suites, done in Italian, French, Spanish, or early-California style. Some rooms have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, patios, and kitchens. A complimentary continental breakfast is delivered to your room daily for two people (additional cost for more guests). The San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park museums are a 10-minute walk away.
