Fodor's Expert Review Coronado Motor Hotel

233 S. 4th Ave., Yuma, Arizona, 85364, USA Fodor's Choice

Built in 1938, this Spanish tile–roofed motor hotel has been well cared for and was where Bob Hope used to stay during World War II, when he entertained the gunnery troops training in Yuma. See an impressive collection of historical photos at the on-site Yuma Landing Restaurant & Lounge, and an equally impressive exhibit of artifacts at the Casa de Coronado Museum, housed in one of the original hotel rooms. The updated rooms all have pillow-top beds, flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, and microwaves.
