South Shore Boat Tours. Ninety-minute narrated nature cruises around Mahone Bay depart three times a day, from June through October. You'll see the seal colony, perhaps a porpoise or two, and a range of birdlife such as bald eagles, osprey, terns, and loons, and also cruise past picturesque villages and islands. A four-hour puffin-viewing trip to Pearl Island and fishing charters are also available. Sweet Ride Cycling. Before setting out on your ride, you can buy old-fashioned treats at this bicycle-slash-candy shop. Half-day rentals (up to four hours) cost C$20, full-day ones C$30, with C$20 for additional days and C$100 for a week; child trailers and bikes run C$15 per day. Electric-assist bikes (C$30 half day, C$50 full day) are also available.
