Fodor's Expert Review Rum Runner Restaurant

A wall of windows makes the most of this restaurant's Lunenburg Harbour location, creating an appropriately nautical setting for savoring the expertly prepared seafood the kitchen turns out. Thanks to its owners' German heritage, the Rum Runner has an attractive European-style dining room, where patrons enjoy jumbo shrimp Martini, seafood chowder, and mains that might include lemon-crusted local haddock or steamed Nova Scotia lobster. Ribs, steaks, and chicken are also on the menu, and there's always a vegetarian option. Though its main entrance is on a parallel street, this casual eatery can also be accessed on Bluenose Drive, opposite the Fisheries Museum.
