Get beyond the marble floors, silk and velvet walls, and gold-cushion benches in the lobby and you'll discover a warm residential character at this boutique hotel. The studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites all have kitchenettes and in some cases fireplaces. Decor-wise, the faux-leather walls convey an organic feel and the oversize Parisian mirrors add just the right amount of bling, but it's all understated. East-side rooms overlook the heated saltwater outdoor lap pool and garden patio. Breakfast is available in the elegant L'Orangerie guest-only lounge, which leads to a small library and free computer terminals. Guests have free use of hotel bicycles.
