Fodor's Expert Review Mayne Island Resort
494 Arbutus Dr., Mayne Island, British Columbia, V0N 2J1, Canada
Overlooking Bennett Bay and just steps from Mayne Island's best-loved beach, this chic modern resort enjoys a prime waterfront location and a wealth of amenities, including an indoor pool, a waterfront restaurant, and a spa. All rooms have air-conditioning and each of the one-bedroom cottages has a full kitchen and French doors leading to a sea-front patio or deck. Zinc-inlay tables, reclaimed hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, leather headboards, and gas fireplaces are among the luxe touches. Lodge rooms are simpler but have private balconies and great views, too. The Bennett Bay Bistro serves casual lunches and dinners daily from May to September. The Aquaflora Spa offers a variety of massages, scrubs, and body wraps.
