Playa Langosta

A chic bedroom community of Tamarindo, just five minutes away by car, Playa Langosta is tranquil and elegant. It has not totally escaped development, but most of the low-rise buildings on the northern half are tucked behind the mangrove trees, so you can enjoy an unsullied dramatic beachscape, with surf crashing against rocky outcroppings. A few high-rise condominiums have invaded the area, but they are mostly set back. Past Playa Langosta Beach Club are a handful of hotels and B&Bs that outshine properties in neighboring Tamarindo.
