This small Italian-owned hotel tucked into the hills to the west of Santa Ana draws an international clientele and is a great value. Each room is different, and most have wicker beds. Second-floor rooms—each with a balcony over the pool—have excellent views, but the first-floor rooms aren't bad either. Two four-poster beds are placed in the shade by the pool, just to lounge on. You'll hear poolside chatter in French, Spanish, German, and Italian as much as you do in English.
