Train Travel

There is regular service from Stockholm to Göteborg, which takes a little over 4½ hours, as well as frequent high-speed (X2000) train service, which takes about 3 hours. All trains arrive at the central train station in Drottningtorget, downtown Göteborg. SJ, the Swedish national rail company, has schedules on its website. Streetcars and buses leave from here for the suburbs, but the hub for all streetcar traffic is a block down Norra Hamngatan, at Brunnsparken.
