Country Code

The country code for Slovenia is 386. When dialing from outside the country, drop any initial "0" from the area code.

International Calls

To make international calls, dial "00" and then the appropriate country code (calls to the United States and Canada, for example, are preceded by "001"). International calls can be made from local telephones or post offices. For collect calls dial the operator. For international inquiries, dial international directory assistance.

Pay phones take magnetic telephone cards, available from post offices and kiosks. Lower rates apply from 10 pm to 7 am and all day Sunday.
