Albufeira

With enough neon lights to rival Las Vegas, the newer sections of Albufeira retain no hint of the old Algarve, but is beloved by fans of English breakfasts, Irish pubs, and karaoke bars. The old town, however, has quaint cobblestone streets, traditional restaurants, and its own beach.

Heading east out of Albufeira, you’ll come to a slightly quieter, more upmarket part of town (Praia da Falésia–Olhos De Agua), where beautiful beaches are fringed by brand-name hotels.
