Ostuni

This sun-bleached medieval town lies on three hills not far from the coast. From a distance, Ostuni is a jumble of blazing white houses and churches spilling over a hilltop and overlooking the sea. Don’t be surprised if you hear a lot of English and German spoken in the cobbled streets. The Città Bianca (White City), as it is called, has cast its spell on a large number of British and German nationals, who have bought second homes here. That doesn’t mean that the town has lost its local flavor; fairs, religious festivals, and colorful traditional events are held as always with the same enthusiasm and fervor.
