Seven miles outside Plymouth's center, this country mansion on the River Tavy provides rural relief from the city's bustle, offering stately surroundings, soothing vistas, and acres of grounds to roam. The grand entrance hall sets the tone, leading on to two sitting rooms, one with a minstrels' gallery. The three spacious guest rooms have chandeliers suspended from tall ceilings, wood paneling, and luxurious bathroooms with rolltop baths and underfloor heating. Breakfast overlooking the Tavy is a treat, with glimpses of the resident peacocks outside.
