Fodor's Expert Review La Robe Creole
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
A cut-stone building only steps away from the Old Market Plaza houses one of Dominica's best restaurants. In a cozy dining room with wood rafters, ladder-back chairs, and colorful madras tablecloths, you can dine on a meal selected from an eclectic à la carte menu. Local favorites are callaloo soup, titiree (fish balls made from a type of fish called titiree), creole-style wings, vegetarian items, and crab backs and river crayfish when in season. The restaurant makes its own delicious mango chutney and plantain chips, called Irie Itals, which you can buy in local shops.
