Fodor's Expert Review Japanese Garden

Clementi and Jurong Garden

Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.

This enchanting formal garden is adjacent to the Chinese Garden and is one of the largest of its kind outside Japan. Also known as the Jurong Gardens, its classic simplicity, and harmonious arrangement of plants, stones, bridges, and trees induce tranquillity (indeed, the garden's Japanese name, Seiwaen, means Garden of Tranquillity). A miniature waterfall spills into a pond full of water lilies and lotus.
