Fodor's Expert Review Lola's Tapas and Bar

Lola's offers authentic Spanish flair combined with African touches in its cuisine and decor and is popular with the younger backpacker crowd. It's cool and open with tables and chairs spilling out onto a shaded courtyard. Choose from the tapas menu, or dine à la carte. The restaurant offers an array of dishes, from salad to steak and plenty of local game options, though prices can be a little steep. Try the crocodile meat if you feel like something different, or if you are really adventurous give the local "delicacy" of fried mopane worms a go. If you can't get enough, it's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The coffee is probably the best in town.

Bookings aren't essential but advisable for larger groups, especially for dinner during the busy season.

Lola's is open until the last drumbeat from the group of musicians who provide entertainment on occasion.
