Table Mountain National Park

Nowhere else in the world does an area of such spectacular beauty and rich biodiversity exist almost entirely within a metropolitan area. Large swaths of the Cape Peninsula are devoted to this spectacular 220-square-km (85-square-mile park), which is home to countless hiking trails and gorgeous beaches, as well as two world-renowned landmarks: the eponymous Table Mountain and the legendary Cape of Good Hope. Although several parts of the park are within the boundaries of Cape Town, others are in the Cape Peninsula (). The park requires entrance payments only at three points: Cape of Good Hope, Boulders, and Silvermine. The rest of the park is open and free for all to enjoy.
