Mail

Post offices are available everywhere and visible by their yellow signs. Outgoing airmail is reliable. Note that if you mail letters at the main sorting office of any city (usually situated on Avenue Mohammed V), they will arrive several days sooner than if you mail them from elsewhere. Airmail letters to North America take between 5 and 14 days. A 20-gram airmail letter or postcard costs about 15 DH to mail to the United States.

Shipping Packages

Sending packages out of the country is easy enough. Go to the Colis Postaux (parcel post office; one in each town), where you can also buy boxes. You'll need to fill in some forms and show the package to customs officials before wrapping it. Airmail parcels reach North America in about two weeks, Europe in about 10 days. DHL offers a special rate for handicraft items shipped overseas, and some carpet stores can arrange shipping, though this can double the price of your purchase. The international Amana Service at the Post Office takes three to five days from Morocco to Europe. UPS operates only in Casablanca. FedEx has locations in Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakesh, Rabat, and Tangier.
