This budget-friendly riad with great amenities (including air-conditioning) is in a quiet alley not far from Place Djemâa el Fna. Its simple decorations and traditional architecture give the property a peaceful vibe that's fresh and modern as well as cozy Moroccan---think colorful throws and cushions set against pale walls, a small tiled central courtyard, and a small plunge pool. Rooms are small and minimally furnished with wooden beds, traditional bejmat tiled floors, and tadlak bathrooms. The plant-filled roof terrace is lovely and has a comfy cushioned corner for relaxing. Staff speak English and many solo travelers find this little riad a perfect base for a few days inside the medina.
