Fodor's Expert Review Kfar Giladi Hotel

Rte. 90, 1221000, Israel

Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.

Atop a hill behind Tel Hai is one of the country's oldest and largest kibbutz hotels; it's run very efficiently, but retains a homey atmosphere. Guest rooms are on the plain side, but some have lovely views of the Upper Hula Valley and Mount Hermon. The gift shop has some unusual handcrafted items, many made by members of the community. The Beit Hashomer Museum, which explores the history of the kibbutz and the vicinity, is on the grounds.
