Why We Like It

For independent travelers who want a location in one of Tel Aviv's prettiest neighborhoods, ample room to spread out and excellent design, Neve Tzedek Hotel will tick all the right boxes.

Fodor's Expert Review

Brothers Golan Dor and Tomi Ben-David came up with the plan to restore the faded elegance of this historic building. The wooden doors and cabinets in these five luxury apartments are among some of the appointments that were hunted down in flea markets, and the sinks are constructed out of halved wine barrels. The lacy finishing on sheets and pillowcases adds a sense of luxury. This lodging is for more independent travelers longing for a sense of living in Tel Aviv.

You Should Know The hotel caters more to independent travelers with an AirBnb or vacation rental feel, and there's no one at the reception desk after 4 pm.

Room

The hotel's five suites each have their own distinct character and style, from the compact studio suite to the duplex garden suite which spans three floors. But no matter which unit you choose, you can expect colorful vintage-stye furniture, crisp white linens, floor-to-ceiling windows that let the light pour in, and handy kitchenettes.

Tip For those who really want to pamper themselves, both Garden suites offer outdoor jacuzzis where you can soak in private white inhaling the aroma of flowers. Ahhhhh.

Bathroom

All the suites offer whitewashed bathrooms, some with converted wine barrels for sinks, and with accessories that have vintage charm.

Lobby

With no real lobby to speak of, guests are instead greeted by a staff member and taken to the private entrance for their room.
