Cobh Ireland…your ideas needed
We will be in Cobh for 12 hours and need ideas on tours. Had planned to go to Barney Castle, but Viator takes 100 people. Private are extremely expensive. Anyone taken a tour lately? Sightseeing ideas in Cobh and Cork that you recommend? Is Kinsdale worth a trip? Thank you in advance!!

Have you checked tours offered by the following two companies?
1) Butlers Tours: https://www.ecoach.ie/
or
2) Paddywagon Tours: https://www.paddywagontours.com/Shor...Cork-City-Tour

P.S.
I did not join a tour to Barney Castle nor to Kinsdale, therefore cannot tell you if either is worth the trip.
I joined a one-hour walking tour in Cobh called "The Titanic Trail" instead,
https://www.getyourguide.com/county-...f-cobh-t35903/
and then visited the "The Titanic Experience" in the afternoon on my own, which is housed in what was then the "White Star Line Ticket Office" in 1912, where passengers waited to get on tenders to board the Titanic.

Viator doesn't take ANY people. They are just a reseller for other tour companies. (Viator doesn't own buses, employ any drivers, doesn't do tours . . .)
Aren't Barney Castle nor Kinsdale . . . they are Blarney Castle and Kinsale
Assuming you are coming off a cruise . . . I'd stay in Cobh myself. Between the Heritage Centre, the Titanic Experience and other Titanic sites, the Cathedral, the Harbor, seafood, pubs, and more PLENTY to fill your few hours without paying an arm and a leg . . .

I agree with janisj, 12 hours will disappear quickly in Cobh.
Being an old sea dog, I could spend half that time in the Titanic Experience.
I’ve just joined Fodors, so cannot post links yet, but if you Google “visit Cobh” you’ll find some good articles and the one titled “10 Cool Things to Do in Cobh, Ireland” will give you a good start.
