Riva del Garda to Rome
Hi all,
I have to travel from Riva del Garda to Rome this thursday, Oct 23. I have checked TrenItalia from Verona to Rome and it is very expensive. Car share at http://www.blablacar.com/ is not available on that day. Are there any other relatively cheap options? -- may be go to another place and start from there or any other option. I cannot find a bus service from Verona to Rome.
I understand that I should have made the booking in advance but I couldn't do it. Please let me know your suggestions.

Have you looked at taking the local trains instead of the more expensive expresses?
You haven't said how much you expect to pay - it won't be free. And in Italy buses typically don't use have the same routes as trains.

Thank you for the replies. I would have loved to pay something like 20 euros, which I think was the ticket price of the train earlier. But anything under 40 euros is fine. Currently, the train tickets are close to 80 euros.
Where can I look for local trains?
@sandralist, getting to that place and then taking a flight would be (equally or more) expensive.

Thank you all, for the suggestions. I went ahead and purchased the overnight train ticket from Rovereto to Rome for 48 euros. I asked the locals here as well and there doesn't seem to be any options except buying tickets in advance.
@travelinggaby, yes, Riva is beautiful. Town is surrounded by mountains and it is very lively in the town center even at/past midnight.
