Private driver: Dublin airport to Limerick
I need to be in Limerick Mon. afternoon, April 20 by 2 pm. I can fly from US to Heathrow, layover, and fly from there to Shannon airport... or, I was thinking, I could maybe fly nonstop to Dublin (cheaper than Shannon) and hire a driver to take me to Limerick. I know there are inexpensive buses but their times don't work out. I need someone dependable who is ready to "fetch" me right when I arrive and head out immediately to Limerick. and no, I don't want to drive myself after a redeye flight. Anyone know of a private driver who could do this? Any idea of the price? Obviously I don't want to wait and negotiate with a taxi driver when I arrive-- I want to set this up in advance.

I don't know of a private firm but several should come up on a Google search.
You may find that a flight to Shannon then a chauffered car or taxi to Limerick could be much cheaper.
Have you checked the trains?

Dublin Airport to Limerick is €300-350 by taxi. Express bus from Dublin City to Limerick http://www.dublincoach.ie/timetables...ublin-city.php

Thank you both. Even the express bus doesn't work for me because I need to leave the airport ASAP to have the best chance of meeting up with my tour that begins at 2 in Limerick. It costs me about $200 more (USD) to fly to Shannon, so I was hoping a private driver would be no more than that from Dublin airport-- and it would have been nice to look out the window & chat with a driver. But I'll give up this idea and just fly into Shannon.

I'm just going to go ahead and fly into Shannon airport and be done with it. That's my best chance of being where I want to be and I found a different flight that helps with the cost difference. thanks for all the creative thinking, though!
