Flying Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy to London

I chose that over Delta's Premium Economy and was glad I did. The seats were more comfortable and had more leg room (I'm 6') and I slept infinitely better. The food was quite a bit better, ditto the wine. The cabin crew was much friendlier and more attentive, and it's actually more like an intermediate class between economy and business not just economy with some tweaks the way Delta's premium economy is. yes, it's more expensive, but the older I get, the more I value my comfort and arriving at either destination as rested and relaxed as possible.

Booked Virgin's Prem Econ for next trip. Have flown it four or five times, a bargain.

Nice. I can see how a 6' tall man who is 178 years old (or did I misinterpret the screen name) would enjoy the extras.

And I'd take Virgin over my hometown airline (AA, commands 70% of flights at the local airplane farm) any day.

We flew VA prem economy from Vancouver BC to London.

The flight there was not great. The staff were surly and didn't serve much... The food was basic plane food. The seats were only ok. The entertainment system was horrible. . We have flown Airtransat club class before and this was inferior.. and it cost more.

The flight back.. the staff WERE nicer.. the food was blah,, my hubbys tv didn't work and same old crappy entertainment choices.. not a touch screen etc and poor choices. We however did luck out and got bulk head seats( I have no idea why .. I had not been able to reserve them ) and we did like them as you got more leg room and a foot cushion to put legs up .

I will never fly them again.. its not that they were horrible( staffing is just luck) . its just we know we can pay less and get something better.

Maybe you can reveal where you can pay less and get something better.

I've flow PE on VS many times (& upper class) and have not experienced a seat that was only "ok" as the seats are the same on all routes, perhaps situated in different parts of the aircraft but still the same type of seat. The entertainment programme is the same in all cabins and don't understand what is horrible about it. They have touch screens on some of the newer planes.
