Drone video of the north of the Netherlands

I came across this video compilation made with a drone, of part of the province of Groningen. I think it is lovely, and it shows a part of the Netherlands few tourists visit.

You might also enjoy this amazing view of the Dom in Utrecht.

I believe, incidentally, that the guy who made the second video was fined for flying a drone in a built up area.

Anyway i hope you enjoy bth of these different views of the Netherlands.

I'm glad it didn't crash into somebody's house when the pilot went to take a pee. Great views BTW

does it show the coffeeshops - maybe see by smoking wafting out?

Seriously great views of yes a place sadly ignored by many tourists.

I am arriving in Amsterdam on the 30th of April - can you give me a tulip forecast for this spring - of course we are headed to Kuekenhoff. We also rode bikes thru the tulip fields one year - might do that again, weather permitting, if the heads have not all been shaved off.

IME Tulips are likely to be over by May but let's see just how bad or good my memory is - hetismij2 - the envelope please!

Suec1, I don't live near any tulip fields, and haven't yet been to look at them. I have seen a few early tulips in bloom in sheltered gardens.
Keukenhof will still have plenty of flowers in bloom then, provided we don't get heatwave between now and then, though how many of those flowers will be tulips I can't say.
At the moment it is decidedly autumnal here with lots of rain, high winds, and very cool temps, but it has been a fairly mild winter.

IME most of Keukenhof flowers are in hothouses and thus will always be blooming throughout the show, a minor part of which seems outdoor blooms but a showcasing of the Dutch flower industry as a whole - some tropical glasshouses indeed too.

It's all around Winsum, isn't it? I'm seeing the Garrelsweer mill and the brick works chimney at Onderdendam. Beautiful to see it like that. And yes, that area is beautiful.

Yes Menachem, it is around Winsum. I thought it was beautiful, and that it may encourage some visitors to think outside the Randstad.
